Pengenalan Surah
Introduction
"Apabila datang pertolongan Allah dan kemenangan (semasa engkau wahai Muhammad berjaya menguasai negeri Makkah)," — An-Nasr 110:1
"When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest," — An-Nasr 110:1
Surah An-Nasr is the 110th surah of the Qur'an, with 3 verses, and is Madinan according to most scholars. According to Ibn 'Umar's report it was revealed at Mina during the Farewell Hajj (10 AH). Ibn 'Abbas said it was the last complete surah revealed (Sahih Muslim, no. 3024).
Companions who grasped its hint, such as Ibn 'Abbas and 'Umar, understood that it announced the nearing end of the Prophet's life ﷺ — hence it is also called Surat at-Tawdi' (the Farewell).

Tafsir Ayat Demi Ayat
Verse-by-Verse Commentary
Ayat 1: Pertolongan dan Kemenangan
Verse 1: Help and Victory
"Apabila datang pertolongan Allah dan kemenangan (semasa engkau wahai Muhammad berjaya menguasai negeri Makkah)," — An-Nasr 110:1
"When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest," — An-Nasr 110:1
Nasr refers to Allah's help to the Prophet ﷺ and the Muslims, and al-Fath to the Conquest of Makkah (8 AH) — the turning point for Islam's spread across Arabia. Ibn Kathir explains it as glad tidings that Allah's help would surely come.
Ayat 2: Masuk Islam Berbondong-bondong
Verse 2: Entering Islam in Multitudes
"and you see the people entering the religion of Allah in multitudes," — An-Nasr 110:2
Afwajan bermaksud berbondong-bondong. Selepas Fathu Makkah, kabilah-kabilah Arab memeluk Islam secara berkumpulan — tentera Islam ketika Fathu Makkah kira-kira 10,000 orang, manakala lebih 100,000 jemaah hadir bersama Nabi ﷺ ketika Haji Wida‘ (anggaran sejarawan).
Afwajan means in multitudes. After the Conquest of Makkah, Arab tribes embraced Islam in groups — the Muslim army at the Conquest numbered about 10,000, while over 100,000 joined the Prophet ﷺ at the Farewell Hajj (historians' estimate).
Ayat 3: Tasbih, Hamdalah dan Istighfar
Verse 3: Glorification, Praise and Seeking Forgiveness
"Maka ucapkanlah tasbih dengan memuji Tuhanmu dan mintalah ampun kepada-Nya, sesungguhnya Dia amat menerima taubat." — An-Nasr 110:3
"then exalt (Him) with praise of your Lord and ask His forgiveness. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance." — An-Nasr 110:3
Di kemuncak kejayaan, Allah memerintahkan tiga perkara: tasbih (menyucikan Allah), hamdalah (memuji dan bersyukur) dan istighfar (memohon ampun) — mengajar kerendahan hati seorang hamba walaupun di puncak kemenangan.
At the height of success, Allah commands three things: glorification, praise and gratitude, and seeking forgiveness — teaching a servant's humility even at the peak of victory.

Daripada Ibn ‘Abbas رضي الله عنهما: ‘Umar memasukkan aku bersama para sahabat veteran Badar… Beliau bertanya tentang firman Allah {Apabila datang pertolongan Allah dan kemenangan}. Sebahagian mereka berkata: “Kita diperintahkan memuji Allah dan memohon ampun apabila diberi kemenangan.” ‘Umar bertanya kepadaku: “Adakah begitu juga pendapatmu, wahai Ibn ‘Abbas?” Aku menjawab: “Tidak.
Ibn 'Abbas said: 'Umar used to include me with the veterans of Badr… He asked about Allah's words {When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest}. Some said: "We are commanded to praise Allah and seek forgiveness when granted victory." 'Umar asked me: "Is that your view too, Ibn 'Abbas?" I said: "No. It is the (sign of the) end of the Messenger of Allah's life ﷺ, which Allah informed him of." 'Umar said: "I know of it only what you have said."
